Exploring Collagraph on Evolon Dorothy Cochran
Register starting Tuesday, May 11 for a 2-day workshop conducted through
On June 16 and 17, 2021 (Wednesday and Thursday) Dorothy will do this workshop - remotely via ZOOM!
An online class for the adventurous artist who likes to explore new materials. After creating encaustic collagraph plates on Yupo, we will explore hand printing on Evolon, a polyspun fabric, which is highly absorbent, strong, and archival. Also available in sheets and rolls, this versatile substrate adds a soft texture to your work and can be directly painted, stitched, and even formed into 3-D shapes after imaging. Used like paper, it is friendly to almost all printmaking plates. The class will include demonstrations on plate making, relief inking, and printing, suggested exercises, live Q and A, critique on student experiments during the workshop, plus tips on future projects. Artists of all media are welcome!

The School catalog is now out, workshop registration begins on Tuesday, May 11!
